I guess you must have read the news regarding resuering dogs happened inProvine, Mar 02, and Guiyang Province on Mar 05. Both are exciting victory. However, the later one happened in Shenyang on Mar 07 has left animal advocates in China in sadness. Up to now the four volunteers including 2 leaders of groups have been arrested by the Police. They are accused to be interfere the police with their duty. The following is the details.
On Mar 07, a highway toll station in Shenyang, a truck loaded with hundreds of dogs was caught by sight of a dog lover, who immediatey inform other dog lovers to rush to the sence.
Then these volunteers asked the policemen to stCibotium barometz opped the truck, stating that the dogs are suspisous to be stolen pets. There are GOLDEN RETRIEVERs, sherherp, Tibetan Mastiff among the dogs. The driver(shipper said that these dogs were buy from Heibei province and will be shipping to Changchun to be slaughtered. The price they bought the dogs was 7 yuan(about 6.5Eur) per each. The dogs in the cages are in a bad situation. Some began to nausea and vomiting, crying. A shepherd looked out from the cage on the people, tears in his eyes.
A vet came to check the dogs and told that the dogs got fever and voming, some are even prgnant and will be giving birth to puppy soon. The shipper said that they have all the legal certificates of dogs for transportation. Then the qunrantiner came and look at the certificates showed by the driver. He said the certificates are valid and the truck can go ahead. The volunteers came from every conner in Shenyan city insist not to let it go. They argue that many dogs appeared to be pets that stolen from families. Some volunteers began to write slogans put on their cars saying: “Our action is legal, out of love, and we are together on Mar.07″ The confrontation lasts for more than 8 hours before the policemen made the decision that the dogs should shipped to the shelter in the police station (where the stray dogs are put into).
The policemen allow a volunteer to go with the truck, at the same time promised that volunteers can go to the police to visit the dogs.
On the way to the police station, this volunteer learnt from the internet that many dog lovers disgussing the matter. Many of them stated that the shelter in the police station is no good at all to the dogs. They said that the policemen will sell dogs to the restraurants or to the dog nappers again.
This volunteers, Named Riyuetian, was very worried to know this. Then he tried to stop the truck again not to let the dogs to the police station. However, his car hit the policemen’ s twice when turned away. The policemen then arrest him. The other volunteers lost the contact of him. His wife was extremely worry. They gethered in front of the police station crying for setting free Riyuetian. Tow other girls were asked into the police station later on and set free. They then knew that Ri was arrest. When this message spread out, many animal lovers were angry to the policemen.They strongly request for the relieve. More over, some people began to write on the micro-blog to announce the corruption of the head of police station. The policemen then rearrest 3 other girls including the 2 that let go before. One of these girls name Jina is famous for leading several times rescuer action. She is only 20 years old.

We are now desperately need your help to call the local Chinese embassy asking them to urge Chinese government to look into this matter. set free these volunteers. They are just doing something to protect the helpless and poor livings. They are not criminals but in the opposite they are the kindest youth and the hope of the country. They are fighting against the criminals. All this conflicts is a result of lack of animal protection law, which should be a serious matter that should have been looked into long time ago.
