Animal starving after devastating floods - Can you help?

Pakistan flood response

We can't fight Mother Nature, but there's a lot we can do to help Nature's victims. Today I'm trying to keep 1,000 animals from starving. Let me tell you how you can help.

Monsoons are part of life each summer in Pakistan, but this year the storms were far worse than usual. Floods have killed dozens of people, washed away hundreds of homes, and deprived many animals of their usual food sources. Hundreds of animals have died, and others are at risk of starvation.

Can you help IFAW save these animals?

The villagers in Pakistan rely on their cows, goats and sheep to take care of their families. But in many areas the flood waters are 1.5 meters deep.

A farmer named Rana is desperate for food for his eight animals. His land is under water and his crops were destroyed.

"It is so difficult for me to feed my animals," said Rana. "They are getting weaker day by day. We have seen no one from the Government. We need food for our animals."

Rana sought help from the Ravi Foundation, IFAW's partner in Pakistan. IFAW has committed to feeding 1,000 animals for a month.

IFAW rescues and protects animals around the world. You can help our Disaster Response team care for the flood's animal victims.

With help from generous supporters like you, IFAW is going to supply 60,000 kilograms (over 66 tons) of Wanda, a nutritious feed blend for animals. For these goats, sheep and cows, this will mean the difference between life and a painful death from starvation.

IFAW has the experience and expertise to take care of animals after natural and manmade disasters. People like you make our work possible. You can help the animal victims of these devastating floods and other animals in need around the world.

Floods, earthquakes, hurricanes - over the years, IFAW has been there to help animals when Nature does its worst. We never know when it will happen next. But I do know I am grateful for your help when it does.

Thank you.
