Informativo Animalista: URGENT: Red Star in need of repairs and supplies for deployment

Today is the one-year anniversary of the deadly EF-5 tornado that swept through Moore, Oklahoma. That was my first week with American Humane Association, and almost immediately I found myself on the ground, helping our Red Star® Emergency Services team rescue and shelter hundreds of animals in need within the devastated community.

Thanks to you, in the past year our team has been able to send our fleet of rescue vehicles to help animals all across the nation. But with another year comes a renewed need to be prepared to respond at a moment's notice to any situation Mother Nature throws our way – tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, wildfires, and more.

Our flagship 82-foot rescue rig (pictured above) – affectionately called "Lucy" by our team – is in urgent need of a new generator that will cost $34,000. Please donate today so we can make this vital repair, and so that American Humane Association can continue all of our programs that protect our nation’s children and animals.

Please give generously so that frightened animals will not have to wait long for help to arrive. We need to make sure each of our trucks has sufficient veterinary and sheltering equipment and all of the rescue gear needed to save animals from cruelty and natural disasters.
