No humans and no other animals (aside from the odd rabbit) live here -- this rocky island off the South African coast is strictly avian territory. Shrieking and riding the thermals, the aggressive kelp gulls are quite at home here.
Closer to shore, breeding season is in full swing for the increasingly threatened African
black oystercatchers.
